Maintenance Technician/ Attendant (Car Wash)

Work Environment: On-site, primarily outdoors

Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Car Wash Maintenance Technician/ Attendant to support daily operations, perform preventative and corrective maintenance, and lead on-site attendants. This role requires hands-on maintenance experience, strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, and frequent customer interaction.

The ideal candidate has a proven background in maintenance, is comfortable working outdoors, and can balance technical work with customer service responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Daily Operations

Assist customers with questions and operational issues
Greet customers and offer air fresheners
Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the entire car wash property
Complete daily operational and safety checklists

Car Wash Maintenance & Repairs

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair car wash equipment failures, including:
Water leaks
Electrical malfunctions
Hydraulic leaks
Chemical delivery and metering issues
Security camera systems
IBA sensors and components
Credit card payment system updates
Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime

Chemical & Equipment Management

Perform chemical titrations and monitoring
Fill and maintain chemical systems
Assist with chemical ordering and inventory
Perform pump oil changes
Maintain spare parts inventory
Submit tool and equipment requests
Clean, inspect, and repair vacuum systems
Monitor equipment pits and underground components
Coordinate and oversee on-site contractors and service vendors

Leadership & Site Management

Prepare and update work instructions and procedures
Direct attendants and prioritize daily work tasks
Handle customer incidents and damage claims
Provide ideas for marketing initiatives
Recommend operational and site improvements

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience (required)
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting experience
Experience with automatic or in-bay car wash systems preferred
Ability to work independently and lead a small team
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail
Availability to work half the weekend
